Introduction to College Studies Certificate

OVERVIEW OF REQUIREMENTS

Minimum number of credits required to earn certificate: 15

Minimum Cumulative GPA required to earn certificate: None

Other requirements: Students must satisfy the UMM residency requirement for certificate programs, taking at least 12 credit hours through UMM.

This certificate program is open to all students, including early college, and is designed to give students a set of introductory-level college courses.  The curriculum supports students interested in attending college and prepares them with general knowledge and skills infused in the liberal arts. 

The courses required are common to general education curricula around the country and would be likely to transfer to meet general education requirements at any higher education institution.
