ERL 441 - Methods of Teaching English in the Secondary School This is a teaching methods course for future English/Language Arts teachers at the middle and secondary school levels. Students explore a variety of teaching strategies for organizing a secondary English/Language Arts curriculum, utilizing the national standards of the Common Core, and planning, implementing, and assessing appropriate instruction using current best practices for the effective teaching of English/Language Arts. The course includes a mandatory field experience.
