ACC 201 - Principles of Financial Accounting This is an introduction to the organization, presentation and use of financial accounting information. Students will understand the elements of the accounting system - assets, liabilities, equity, revenues, expenses and dividends. Emphasis is on acquiring familiarity with the double-entry system and gaining an understanding of the purposes and uses of the information found within the income statement, balance sheet, statement of stockholder’s equity and the statement of cash flows.
