MET 453 - Experimental Mechanics An introduction to experimental methods for measuring strain and deformation of engineering materials, structures, and mechanical components. Topics will include electrically and optically recorded strain and deformation; computer data acquisition and reduction techniques; applications to static and dynamic events, sensors, fatigue, fracture and residual stresses; quasi-static load frames.
