ECO 426 - Regional Economics: Policy and Practice This course is about U.S. regional economic development, with an emphasis on policy and practice (i.e., the types of strategies used by regions to promote economic development). Topics include business climate and taxes; industry clusters; human capital; the importance of small businesses; technology-based approaches to economic development; amenities; and aspects of new growth (e.g., residential development, people moving into a region).

Prerequisites: A grade of C- or better in ECO 220 or ECO 221 or permission
