NUR 452 - Community and Population Health Introduces students to the concepts and principles of community health care. Students will gain knowledge about primary, secondary, tertiary prevention, public health frameworks, policy, health determinants, and epidemiology. Students will develop evidence-based, population-focused interventions about current public and community health issues. Students perform population and community assessments and interventions as well as engage in extensive service learning.

Prerequisites: Nursing major, minimum grade of C in NUR 334, NUR 335, NUR 340 and NUR 341
Corequisites: NUR 453
