Polymer solutions and phase equilibria. Solid state properties. Polymer morphology and transitional phenomena. Crystalline and amorphous states. Glassy, rubbery and viscous behavior. Rheological aspects. Viscoelasticity. Survey of commodity thermoplastics, engineering polymers and uses. Polymer additives and blends. Basic processing techniques. Lec 3.
