MEPA 100 - Introduction to Engineering

This course is intended for students in the Maine Engineering Pathways Program. It provides an introduction to the engineering profession and the preparation needed to become an engineer. The major branches of engineering will be described including: biomedical, chemical, civil, computer, electrical, mechanical and engineering technology. Students will practice engineering skills through a small design project. There are two field trips – one local and one to either the University of Maine College of Engineering or the University of Southern Maine Department of Engineering.
