NUR 456 - Professional Nursing Practice Through the Lifespan


This course synthesizes the knowledge, skills, and behaviors of professional nursing practice at the baccalaureate level. Emphasis is on the multi-faceted role of the professional nurse in the provision of care across the health-illness continuum throughout the lifespan. Content is designed to assist students to assess complex patient care needs during transitions in care settings as a vital member of the inter-professional team.

Prerequisites: Senior standing in the School of Nursing and successful completion with a “C” or better in NUR 452 and NUR 453. Department consent required.

Corequisites: NUR 444, NUR 447, and NUR 455
