KPE 396 - Outdoor Leadership Field Expedition Students in this course will work together to prepare for, execute, and debrief a multiday field expedition. The course will focus on mastery of critical outdoor leadership skills including emergency action and trip itinerary planning, risk management decision making, expedition behavior, and group management. Course activities will occur in dynamic environments, including the back-country. Overnight travel and outdoor activity participation is required. The exact activities covered will depend on the season the course is offered. This course includes both classroom time and mandatory multi-day travel, and there is a course fee. This course is for students in the Outdoor Leadership Minor or concentration.
