SED 455 - Transitional Issues for Students with Disabilities This course provides instruction in techniques and resources used to assist individuals with special needs experience success in school settings and transition into a wide range of environments. Emphasis is placed on transition into academic, independent living and vocational settings through the design of instructional programs that address individual needs and maximize quality of life. Accessibility, life skills, community-based instruction, and assistive technology are explored at length.
Prerequisites: SED 201 or permission of instructor.
