BIO 106 - Topics in Women’s Health An introduction to the many aspects of women’s health. Topics covered include reproductive system anatomy, physiology of the menstrual cycle, breast cancer, gynecological cancers, HIV/AIDS and other STDs, menopause, etc. Course content emphasizes both normal and abnormal conditions including symptoms, treatment options, and long-term effects as well as prevention. This course is designed for the general student of all ages, and for men as well as women. It also is a useful introduction to the subject for students preparing for careers in the healthcare profession.
