WLE 450 - Wildlife-Habitat Relationships A study of the interrelationships among wildlife species and their habitats stressing application to conservation of biological diversity and management of harvested species. Focuses on a review and critique of habitat objectives, an assessment of habitat components, a discussion of the influence of spatial scales and landscape pattern on habitat quality, a survey of procedures for evaluating habitat quality, a synopsis of inter-specific interactions as they influence habitat relationships, and discussions of the influence of natural and human-caused disturbances on habitat. Lec 3.
Together with WLE 455, this course satisfies the General Education Capstone Experience requirement.
Prerequisites WLE 250 and WLE 410 or permission. Corequisite: WLE 455 or permission.
