ERS 420 - Computation in Earth Science


Computation in Earth Science will focus on mathematical applications in the earth sciences. Students will apply mathematical and computational skills to solve problems in earth science. Topics covered will range from trigonometry to simple calculus, focusing on mathematical topics that are particularly relevant to earth science. Students enhance computational skills and will reinforce their understanding of basic mathematical topics. Computer software, such as spreadsheets, will be used extensively in classroom exercises.

Prerequisites & Notes
MAT 126 and MAT 127.
