REP 392 - Field Experience in Nature Based Tourism Introduces students to the history, concepts, principles, and planning and management of sustainable tourism (ecotourism) activities. These activities promote cultural and environmental awareness and local economic benefits. A majority of the course will be spent traveling in remote areas that are conducive to sustainable tourism. Students will engage in the ecotourism ventures (e.g. hiking, trekking, rafting) as well as meet leisure service personnel who own, operate, and direct these ventures.
Prerequisites & Notes INT 105 or equivalent; departmental permission.
