STS 235 - Introduction to Statistical Methods Introductory applied statistics for students with a background in single-variable calculus. Topics include descriptive statistics and graphical methods, probability and probability functions, discrete and continuous probability distributions, linear regression, fitting of models to real data sets, and statistical inference. Students will also gain some experience in using software to implement statistical methods.
Due to significant content overlap, credit will not be given for both STS 332 and STS 235.
Prerequisites: Grade of C or higher in MAT 127
