SOC 310 - Quantitative Reasoning in Sociology The use of statistical methods in sociological research. Topics include descriptive and inferential statistics and hypothesis testing. Special emphasis placed on sociological applications of statistical techniques, an understanding of when they are appropriate to use, and the information they yield.
General Education Requirements: Satisfies the General Education Mathematics Requirement.
Prerequisites: 6 hours of sociology or permission.
