NAS 220 - North American Indian History An introductory history of North American Indians, from before European contact to the present. Within a broad chronological framework, the course will look at critical themes in American Indian history; American Indians prior to contact; cultural contact; treaty making, treaty rights, sovereignty; impact of government policies on Native populations; and contemporary issues.
