BIO 350 - Concepts and Applications of Genetics


Introductory course that integrates classical Mendelian genetics with the chromosomal, biochemical and molecular bases of inheritance.  It also includes concepts of population biology within the context of genetics and current applications of modern genetic technology in everyday life.  Intended for students who may not need to take advanced level classes in molecular biosciences. Students may not receive credit for both BIO 350 and BIO 462.

Prerequisites: C- or better in BIO 100 and Junior Standing.
