PHI 354 - Foundations of the Human Sciences A study of philosophical and ethical issues in the social sciences and history including:individualism and holism, structuralism/determinism versus voluntarism, explanation and interpretation, causes versus reasons, facts and values, predictability and rationality and relativism.
Satisfies the General Education Ethics, Western Cultural Tradition and Writing Intensive Requirements.
Prerequisites One course in philosophy or two courses in history or a social science and junior or senior standing.
