STS 435 - Introduction to Mathematical Statistics


An introduction to the theory and methods of statistical inference. Topics include point and interval estimation, hypothesis testing, linear regression and correlation, and analysis of variance.

 

Students may earn credit for both STS 235 and STS 435 only if STS 235 is completed first.  If a student completes STS 235 after or concurrently with STS 435, the credit for STS 435 will be removed. In this case, both grades will appear on the transcript and will be utilized in GPA calculations.



Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in STS 434.
