ART 416 - Book Arts III Book Arts III is an advancement of technique, skill, and conceptual maturity learned in Book Arts II. This studio course will concentrate on the study of the book as a medium for expression. Topics covered in this course will include: the cultural and historical development of the book artifact; the art and craft of writing surfaces; the aesthetic integration of typography; text, page, paper and image; printing methods of book production; binding structures; and the future of the book in the electronic age.
