BIO 234 - Animal Physiology This course will focus on a comparison of the physiological strategies animals use to overcome the challenges they face. There are three broad topics: energetics (partitioning of energy between reproduction, growth and movement), maintenance of homeostasis (temperature regulation, water balance, gas exchange, excretion and acquisition of nutrients) and cellular communication and integration of systems.
Prerequisites: BIO 118, or permission of instructor.
