ECO 443 - Introduction to Modern Economic Growth An introduction to the empirical aspects of economic growth and an exploration of the major determinants of growth and decline, including the roles of technological progress and research and development, human capital accumulation, technology transfer, intellectual property rights and other sociopolitical institutions. Both neoclassical and endogenous (new) growth theory ideas are considered.
