AVS 145 - Introduction to Animal Science Participants will be introduced to the scientific fundamentals of animal sciences, including animal nutrition, genetics and breeding, reproduction, microbiology, health, management of major domesticated animal species, and current topics, including food safety, animal welfare, and sustainable agriculture.
Prerequisites: Animal Science, Zoology, or Sustainable Agriculture major or permission
