ANT 328 - S/He: Rituals & Folk Traditions of Gender This course will explore and examine several aspects of traditional cultural practices and rituals of women and men. We will look at how women and men express, question and negotiate gender in everyday face-to-face interactions, ritual celebration, and various forms of public display. Folklore, as narrative, material culture, and social practices, will also illuminate how gendered spaces, languages, and experiences provide a unique way of expressing the everyday.
Prerequisites: ANT 102 or ANT 221 or WST 101.
