In-depth study of works by American writers of particular ethnic traditions focusing
on a particular period, group, movement, issue or individual(s); e.g. Contemporary
Native American Writers, African American Literary Tradition and Theory, Literature
of Mixed Blood Experience, Jewish American Literature, or Maine Literary History–Franco-American
and Wabanaki.
