SOC 369 - Collective Behavior and Social Movements


Focuses on the origins, dynamics, and consequences of collective behavior and social movements. Examines the role of social movements in bringing about change, challenges facing movements, and the relationships between movements and social institutions. Draws on several empirical cases such as the Civil Rights movement, the feminist movement, and health-focused movements.

6 hours of Sociology or permission.
