NAS 103 - Introduction to Passamaquoddy Language/Culture/History


This course will develop cultural awareness, keeping in mind that all person’s perspectives are relevant, and, that by exploring the cultural values of diverse populations, we gain a better understanding of the world in which we all live. It is my endeavor that students will develop skills in reading, writing and speaking Passamaquoddy. This course will also provide students with the opportunity to participate in their own understanding of the Passamaquoddy culture and history through open dialog and interaction with all aspects of integrated learning.  Students begin to acquire a basic proficiency in Passamaquoddy and will be introduced to the common phrases and vocabulary, the verb forms and tenses along with the grammar and structure of the language.
