ENG 253 - Shakespeare


An introduction to Shakespeare’s works, culture, and influence. Students will be introduced to the historical context of Shakespeare’s works and to contemporary methods of literary analysis. This foundation will provide the basis on which to interpret four representative Shakespearean plays and selected sonnets, discerning the achievement of these works and their ongoing relevance.
