ENG 371 - Intermediate Creative Writing Workshop This is an intermediate-level workshop course that brings together intermediate and advanced writers working in various creative genres. Each writer chooses one genre to focus on. Students improve their expertise by taking a creative writing project through the stages of invention, drafting, workshop, revision and editing. The workload is balanced between students’ own projects and the process of critiquing their peers’ creative work. Students should be familiar with the elements of craft and feel comfortable discussing and analyzing poetry, fiction and creative non-fiction. Attendance at literary events is required.
General Education Requirements: Writing Intensive in Major
Prerequisites: ENG 210 or permission of instructor, secured through submission of a creative writing sample and/or discussion with the instructor.
