COE 305 - Internship in Science

A professional experience for the student who has identified a specific career objective and is interested in gaining significant and extensive experience in that science-related field. A formal approval process is followed in which students meet with the faculty advisor with expertise in the area of interest and specify individual learning outcomes for the experience. This approval process precedes registration. A student will be required to complete 40 hours of supervised work for each credit earned. A summative report addressing how the student met the learning outcomes is expected at the end of the experience. 3-9 cr
