POS 354 - The U.S. Presidency Examines presidential leadership in contemporary American politics. Devotes special attention to institutional, constitutional, and historical influences on the presidency. Other topics include: presidential decision-making, psychological aspects of the
presidency, and the sources of cooperation and conflict between the legislative,
executive, and judicial branches of government. Analysis of the president’s role
in foreign and domestic policy.
General Education Requirements: Satisfies the General Education Social Contexts and Institutions Requirement.
Prerequisites: POS 100 or junior or senior standing.
