BIO 441 - Microscopy Principles of operation and practical application of equipment and techniques used to image and analyze the very small. Covers microscopy by lights (conventional, laser, near-field), electron (transmission and scanning), ion, and scanning-probe instruments and techniques for microanalysis of atomic and chemical composition. Emphasis on, but not limited to, biological material. Lec. 2.
Prerequisites: 1 year chemistry, 1 year physics, 1 year biology.
