CIE 225 - Transportation Engineering An introduction to the broad field of transportation with emphasis on the motor vehicle mode. Principles of roadway and urban transportation planning, economic analysis methods, and route design elements are discussed and related to the planning and design of highway transportation routes. Students design a section of roadway and prepare a technical paper on a current transportation engineering problem. (3.0 ED/0.0 ES.) Lec 3. (Spring.)

Prerequisites: Civil Engineering majors or permission.
