BLS 210 - Contemporary African America Examines the effects of the Civil Rights Movement from a number of disciplinary perspectives as seen in major events and issues of our time. Readings and discussions will explore such issues as external and internalized racism, poverty and economic privilege, education and popular culture, tracing the many different impacts on African American women and men and on the Black community as a whole.
Prerequisites & Notes BLS 101 or permission.
