We offer more than 90 undergraduate majors, so you can pursue your passion. They range from the humanities to STEM disciplines, and one of the oldest established honors program.
You can engage in research and creative production, working with world-class faculty during your time here. As Maine’s land grant and sea grant institution, UMaine produces new knowledge to serve the state, the nation, and the world. Our Strategic Vision and Values include fostering learner success, creating and innovating for Maine and beyond, and growing and advancing partnerships. Throughout your college career, you will engage in all of these areas.
You can participate in one or several of the more than 200 student organizations addressing your concerns and interests, and attend the state’s only Division I athletic events. You are one of the more than 11,000 undergraduate and graduate students from across the U.S. and 60 countries, creating one of the most diverse, inclusive, safe, and caring communities in Maine, where all individuals are respected and supported.
